Regarding Custom Items

So I'm trying to convert a prop into an item and everything seems to work (the object is highlighted blue when I'm near it, the pick icon shows up) but I can't pick it up. The only problem I seem to have is the image file and I've created custom image files in the past and they all work but the one I created for this new item will not. I don't know any other way to explain it.

.png   dev1.png (Size: 83.85 KB / Downloads: 137)
The item is highlighted and the pick icon shows up

.png   dev2.png (Size: 5.54 KB / Downloads: 137)
I can pick up the item

.png   dev3.png (Size: 297.89 KB / Downloads: 139)
The old image file works but I cannot get the new one to work

I did everything the exact same too but I can't pick up the item only if the new image file is assigned to it. I honestly do not understand why this isn't working. :/

RE: Regarding Custom Items

How's the new image? Size, alpha channel etc? I had a similar problem once. Don't quite remember what I did but I think it had to do with the size.

I thought it was the size too at first but I changed to 60x60 and it did nothing.

Does the image need to be in .tga format or will any format work?

RE: Regarding Custom Items

I think for the sake of the game, as long as it is the same filetypes, it should work fine. If you can't make .tga formats with any current applications, I recommend using Paint.Net Smile

Also - open up your broom in the Model Editor, and open up the User Defined Variables under the Settings up the top. Assuming you have your broom set to an "Item" (Type) and "Puzzle" (SubType), there is a little box which says ImageFile. Be sure to make that your broom image Smile

And whatever the original size (IIRC, 60x60) is, the broom DOES NOT have to have the same size as a graphic, but will cause bugs otherwise if larger or smaller.

I...I figured it out. I'm just an idiot. -_- (Should have thought to restart my custom story before testing whether it worked or not)
