RE: Amnesia Modloader (v1.4)

I released an update to the Modloader. Visit the OP if you wanna check it out. It's ready to support The Second Dimension once it releases in a few days.

RE: Amnesia Modloader (v1.4.3)

I've once again pushed out an update. It's been a while, but I discovered a bug which made it impossible to run if the user had changed the location of their Documents folder. This is now fixed, along with more goodies, like automatic installation ^^

OP is updated. Here's a changelog:

March 9, 2016 – v1.4.3
  • Improved and fixed several issues with the shader installation feature.
  • General bug fixes, including a critical issue where it would not work at all for those who have changed the location of their "Documents" folder to another drive.
  • Changed preference save directory to be within AppData instead of Documents.
  • Added automatic installation for extracting the config file to your Amnesia config folder (this to prevent issues with the main game). Manual installation is no longer required.
  • Added a "Warnings" dialog in the preferences, where you can disable certain warnings.
  • Improved the About page.

I think there's more that I've forgotten, since it's been over half a year since last update.

I would love if anyone could test this and report with feedback.

RE: Amnesia Modloader (v1.5.0)

Sorry for double penetrating, but I've been motivated to work on this the past week, and I finally made some more big improvements! I mean, it's not like anyone are using this but... I like challenging myself with making this the best I can.

Have a changelog:

March 18, 2016 - v1.5.0
  • Finally made the app responsive while searching for mods! Much smoother to use now, comes with a progressbar and cancel button.
  • Added a sweet cache feature, which will save the last list you had open, and instantly display it upon next start. This means you only need to refresh if you've changed/added mods. Smoooth~
  • Added button to clear the cache if needed. The cache is automatically cleared before a new is created.
  • Some extra bug fixes.
  • Cleaned up code a bit and organized internal content (for those who care).

Thank you brother Smile

Oh, and I think I identified a small issue preventing it from starting if it hasn't been run before. Critical, but minor. I'll throw up a fix shortly.

Edit: Done. Version 1.5.1 is up.

Edit2: I feel like I've double posted a bit much so I'll just edit this.
I've released version 1.6.0 which is a big update. Basically it no longer requires Java to be installed in order to run. It also comes packaged as a setup.exe styled installer, since it now has a few more files and can function from any specified working directory. It will also show up in Control Panel's installed programs list, and will supply an uninstaller. I used http://actualinstaller.com for this job.

One issue I'm presented with, however, is Avast. It doesn't seem to like it. Avast is the only AV that does this, but this false positive could prevent people from downloading/wanting to download it. I've submitted it to them, so I'm hoping for the best.

RE: Amnesia Modloader (Windows - v1.6.0 / Mac - v1.6.1)

Hey guys, I finally managed to create a Mac OS X version of this application. This is my first Mac app as well and I really like how it turned out. Dunno how many of you guys use Mac, but if you do, please enjoy! ^_^

RE: Amnesia Modloader (Windows - v1.6.0 / Mac - v1.6.1)

I also implemented a feature to patch a main_init config if they are lacking the SDL2 config entries because their absence causes an immediate crash if ran from Amnesia 1.3 on Mac. It doesn't happen on Windows though. Since 99% of mods are created before 1.3, they don't have these SDL2 entries, so the Modloader will check it and ask to patch the config if they're lacking. This should fix launching mods on Mac which has been broken since 1.3 because of this.

Only thing I haven't tested regarding this is if 1.2 will crash if they ARE present. Some retail people are probably still running 1.2.
