[RELEASE] Monsters - An Amnesia Concept

MONSTERS
RELEASE

It had been a nice quiet morning. You'd got up, had some breakfast, and then went on your daily task.
Today, all you had to do was to polish the orb of peace.
Simple day, eh?

This is a Custom Story, inspired by the concept of pokemon.

What comes with this mod?
Voice acting
Performed by our amazing AGP, one of my awesome friends, and also myself.

Not-amazing level editting
That's right. This mod does not include incredible level editting. Though what it does contain is a scripting work that took me forever.
I created a whole battle script for fighting, movesets, map-specific scripting and more.

Sorry. That's not true!
I had the honor of having AMAZING people from the forum to help me! They made some awesome arenas. It's just my level editting that isn't amazing...

Custom music
Yup, I made custom music for this mod.
(Though, I did also use some of FG's)

16 playable maps
Including boss-fights.

I got bored when I reached level 12. Good idea, but I expected more interesting stuff, battling is great, but somehow it needs more work, well this is alpha so I give you that Smile

Overall! Great Work so far!

I didn't create anything for more than level 4. Of course it's boring if you got to level 12 ^^ But nice going! I'm glad you actually got that far.

13 is cap atm.


Yes. I'm already planning on expanding it. It will just take time.

I'm at Level 5 now. It's unique to say. There are some issues I see.

  • Try to make the way to the battle(?) to be more detailed. It's empty.
  • Also, try to find a way to tell the Player where to go. I was confused on what to do after winning a battle.
  • When the evolving thing happens, deactivate the Player because I can still see everywhere.
  • The area is quite dark. Maybe make it a little brighter?
Side Note: Man the Flying Naked Jesus is OP! It's like a one shot kill gun!

Sidenote: Flying Naked Jesus deals damage equal to the health of the enemy. Tongue It's a joke

Daymn, now that is a well thought idea. I managed to bump my monster from crate to barrel for now Tongue will surely test out more versions, as this looks prommising ^^ Good job

Well.. I tested it 2nd time and now I see some nice changes, but still lacking a lot, but again this is Alpha so, this is little improving only.

Shortly my gameplay was:

Sleep, battle and evolve first to Box then Shelf and then again small box and this same pattern continue like looping. So that's it, I think? Reached now only level 6 and got bored.

Well.. I think you need to hire some testers, before releasing even alpha versions here. I mean it's better that way, so nobody can't confuse like "That's it" just a little gameplay to show with little improvements and changes.

I can beta-test this more if you want send PM. etc.

I don't recommend publishing version after newer version, ruins easily gameplay and when you have full version to
publish, it's not that enjoyable to play, because everyone who tested it.. already know the beginning and so on.. if you know what I mean... and someones then are not enjoying that much.. this full release.

To clarify, this is NOT a full release. This is an Alpha.
YOU are the tester!

I've written everything in my original post. What needs to be done. What has been done. And what future plans I have.

I'm quite aware of the fact that it's not finished. Quite aware. Smile
To be fair, this mod is posted in "Custom Stories, TCs & Mods - Development".
Everything you find here is probably not released. A full release would be in "Showcase"

But it's good you say this, because I'll update the OP to make people aware
