I just downloaded and updated the game and the tools but every time i try to launch the level editor (from steam or from the Amnesia files directly) it gives me a "Level Editor cannot be opened because of a problem"

Is it my graphics card or os version? Is there anything i can do about it or am i just screwed?

The Mac editors aren't updated for the game. The game has been updated to 1.3, but the editors are still 1.2 which makes them useless as they don't work at all. All we can do is wait for the update. I really hope it arrives shortly, though I have no idea when it will come.
