Model request [Custom Lightsource]

Hi there,

I am working on a Full Conversion Mod in Amnesia: The Dark Descent based on the Fatal Frame horror games. Now, I have a request as i'm not very good at modelling etc.

I'm going to need a camera that functions as a flashlight. Every time the player clicks with the left mouse button the camera takes a picture and the room lids up by the flash. I also want it to have a re-charge timer so people can't just spam the flash so it's not scary anymore. The camera needs to look old and rusty.

Of course the creator of the model will get full credit. Also I am willing to pay for the model
as I really am quite desperate at this point. With this camera my FCM will be perfect.

Let me know if you're interested!
Thank you!

RE: Model request [Custom Lightsource]

I was about to say "You're not gonna find someone to do that for you for free" but as long as you can actually pay them, maybe you'll find someone. I'm not sure if you'll find them here though. There are a few modellers here but they don't usually do these sorta things (from what I can see, I might be wrong).

As for the scripting side, perhaps you can figure that one out yourself. You can of course test with the default lantern model until you get a replacement. This whole scenario might be possible, but I haven't given it enough thought to really come up with a deeper suggestion yet.

Question, but left click? How does one do that, because from what I can remember, left click doesn't do anything. Well unless you are clicking an object.

Maybe it works. I've been on a break I'm starting to forget stuff.

"Veni, vidi, vici."
"I came, I saw, I conquered."

Yeah, seeing as it would be a custom lantern, I think you'll have to use F instead of M1.

Depends what the model creator asks for it and how well it works etc.

''How well it works'' Just pointing out that if you were to pay someone to make this camera for you, what you would most likely recieve would be a mesh, the textures and the animations for it, the actual scripting functionality you would have to build in yourself.

What one would charge to make something like this also comes down to the quality of work you want, so you'll probably want to get some reference pictures of the exact level of quality you expect, also make sure to be specific with what sort of animations you want for it.
