No problem. A brillant game with bugs is still better than a boring game what's running fine!Tongue

A'ight I'ma say it again, I won't touch this thread at all, but in the future please make one single dedicated thread to the games you recommend and just update that one when you've got something new.

Thanks.

OK Traggey, but this thread wasn't originally meant to be about a Gothic discussion. It's rather about Piranha future projects.

But I accept your words.

Brand new material and homepage are now official teased.
http://www.elexgame.com

A bit not exactly that what I expected, but also something "fresh" in the genre.

Sounds exactly like the Fallout series.

Someone asked the devs if that's a Fallout clone. The devs answered that there is no actual game you can compare to ELEX.

That sounds like a rather stuck-up answer X3

Exactly because it seems it's built up in exactly the same way:
Role-playing - check
post-apocalyptic setting - check (probably nucular because of mutations)
huge seamless world - check (with the exception of interiors)
"original" characters, muties, moral choices, action - check, check and check

The genre, the setting, the creatures and all that doesn't automatically mean it's a clone of something. Look at racing games, there are always cars and tracks, but every game is different.

Anyway, Fallout is more a shooter with RPG elements playing in modern era.

True but all things mentioned about that game absolutely SCREAMS Fallout.

Also, if judged by the background on the webpage, this will be set in the middle-ages.

If Fallout is a shooter with rpg-elements, is Skyrim a sword simulator with rpg-elements?
