This happens after doing what needs to be done in the chemical laboratory when trying to leave through the door into the infected corridors:
The story text is displayed while the game is obviously loading the level and then I am told to click to continue. When I click, the screen turns black and I see nothing. The game freezes at this point and I have to kill it (TERM won't do it, I need to use KILL).

The hpl.log is quite huge, I removed 3404 of 3405 repeats of the same line:

In the forum there are patches mentioned, but after reading some posts they seem to be not for the collection...

Any ideas ?

Is it just me, or is there indeed only the update for the Windows version?

Just wondering, because I hoped there would be an update that fixes the ATI problems _and_ works with my serial numbers that belong to the separately bought games instead of the collection only (as the fix posted here http://frictionalgames.com/forum/showthr...p?tid=3108 does)

I only see a MS Windows executable there. Is there any point in downloading this for the Linux version ? (Maybe I am just to blind right now... will check again later...)

Sorry, forgot this was the linux forum....

The bug you said should be fixed in the linux version... there are no patches Linux Black Plauge what I know.

Well, I guess I just have to accept that... :cry:

The info for the Windows version patch mentions that this bug is triggered by doing some actions in a specific order.
So can you at least tell me where my 'evil' actions could have started and what the proper chain of actions is until that point in the game ? (Assuming this is the same kind of bug.)
I'm glad I put a lot of saves in the favourites - maybe I can quickly get around this...

Just some questions out of couriosity:
(1) Is it correct that linux version of the collection from the 5$ weekend is the most updated/patched version of the game I can get (for all systems) ?
(2) Is there still any active bugfixing done to the game (e.g. the installer has some glitches, had to fix a script to get a playable game... no big problem for the average linux user I guess; also game tells me it crashed when I just exited normally...; the things with the invisible doors..., etc.).
If 'yes': I understand the focus is on Windows but will eventual patches also be available for the other systems ?
If 'no`: :cry:
(3) Does the Windows patch from above change anything in the game data files that could be usefull for the other versions (So that it would make sense to extract that part of the patch) ?

The bug is really strange as it sounds exactly like a bug that was fixed before there even was a linux version, so I cannot understand how you got it.

One thing u could try is to load an older save game and see if it that works. Or you could see if anyone has a save game from after this part. I am afraid that I do not have one laying around...

The error is problably in the executable, so u cannot gain anything by messing with the windows patch.

Just for the record: I took a save-game from just before 'meeting' Amabel and then went very straight trough the game (not so scary the second time ;-) - the freeze 'timeline' included many visits of the gas leak and general looking around in the corridors).
Whatever caused the freeze seemed to have not occured here.

Now I'm done with black plaque and need to play again to find the remaining collectables ;-)
