haha likewise Big Grin I like to write short stories myself. Is every each of you a 3d modeler, animator, designer or anything like that? or will you people just use the default content that comes with the editor to build your own custom stories?

I will probably start off with the defaults but I have like... general knowledge of animation and design that I could probably pull some stuff out in a pinch.

Either you Googled, which makes you a cheater, or you're so familiar with the game that you have memorize the year it was released. I'm okay with either.

Haha kinda both. I remember playing it back in the day but I forgot the name of the game. So I had to google the name but not the year, I remember the year Tongue When you mentioned "Mansion of Illusion" my mind immediately went on that game. Well I've played almost every game that has a mansion in it out there Big Grin

When I was in Kindergarden some 20 years ago and apple computers and floppy disks were the schiznat. I remember playing an adventure game where a guy had to go into a haunted house to find his missing girlfriend. It was called Hugo's House of Horrors. I had some good times on that game. I want to remake it but into something darker and moodier.

I want to create an experimenter's mansion, designed to help me (and anyone who wants to) perform various experiments with the game engine.

For example, I plan to build a room with one of those humanoid monsters in a very tiny cage, with a descending iron-bar door over it. Push the button and see if the door kills the monster or if it sends it flying into space!

Another thing I intend to do is a simple room where you drop down and...

Well, that would be telling. Wink

Speaking for myself, I'm just a level/game design student. I spent last year modelling and really didn't get on with it - luckily I'm switching to a new course that emphasises level building and has no modelling.

So, yeah, I'll just be using the inbuilt content. Maybe I will stretch myself and make something particular, but I can't texture so that would be a real problem, heh.
