Not Solved Does Soma run on Windows XP?

I gave Soma a shot on Windows XP Professional SP2 x64 and received a

"The procedure entry point InitializeConditionVariable could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

error. The minimum system requirements don't list XP, but the troubleshooting page does list advice for XP-users regarding sound issues, implying that it is supported. Is it supported or not and if it is, how can I get it to run?

SOMA has some special requirements, but I'd expect it to run generally fine under XP as long as everything else is met. What are your computer specs?

Not Solved RE: Does Soma run on Windows XP?

They're sufficient: 8GB RAM, Phenom II 1090T BE, GTX 260. Game runs fine on Windows 10 on this machine.

I'd also expect it to work seeing that it requires OpenGL 3.3 which is both installed (latest drivers) and supported by my graphics card. The error message rather makes it look like XP is not supported due to the kernel32.dll lacking a proper function the game needs, however SP2 is the latest service pack for XP x64.

Update: Two weeks later and still no reply from the devs or a Frictional Games official. Very disappointing...
