Penumbra investigate feature

I wonder if someone can find the code, you know, when you press right click in Penumbra, and the character investigates. That free mouse control feature would be nice too, but I am more focused on the right click investigate feature. It could lead up to some very nice custom stories for Amnesia! Big Grin

Amnesia essentially already has this. You can make it so that if the player left clicks on an object a message will pop up. You can also have a message appear if they step into a certain area, or even look at something.

With Areas. Place one and you can select its type. "Examine" is the type you want, I think. Then edit the settings of the area so it points to the correct description in your extra .lang file. There's the "Sign" type too, which works similarly, except the player doesn't have to click it to show the text.

As nofsky said, Sign areas are for labeling something that the player looks at.

They were used in the original game for the Latin signs that had directions.
