Common problems
1. When running the demo version of Penumbra: Overture the game crashes as you start the snow/blizzard/canyon level.
Download the patch found here:

2. The game crashes after launching.
Make sure you meet the minimum requirements and have the latest drivers. See the following articles.

3. The game quits on launch and displays a message about "feature x not supported by graphics card".
This means that either you do not meet the minimum requirements or you do not have the latest drivers for the graphics card.

4. I have run the game successfully but after changing some settings it crashes.
Some settings can make the game crash on certain graphics card and/or if you use hardware sound on some audio cards. See the following articles on how to restore the default settings.

5. I have an ATI card and I have missing graphics problems. For example the wall of the boat in the first level.
This occured with some ATI cards in Vista, to fix the problem get the latest update! It also fixes the problem with the game locking up in the Menu when using an ATI card with Vista.
