Storage room help?*spoilers*

Hello, I am currently having trouble filling the chemistry pot with the leaking VAT. I have already made the device to drill a hole in both barrels, but when I try to use the chemical pot on it, the message, "this item cannot be used this way" appears.

I even watched a few youtube walkthroughs and I cannot see what I'm doing wrong. The icon for the pot is even highlighted when I move my cursor over to the leaking area.

Any help!!?!??

Does the pot already have acid in it?

No it does not. Does it need to?

I'm also convinced that I need to mix the two in the chemical pot in order to create the explosive device. I can't do it because the game is impeding the chemical pot from being filled.. Dodgy

Try reloading an earlier save game, the game seems to have glitched.

I have restarted the game several times... I really don't want to have to start over at this point either... :/

EDIT: So I ended up restarting, and now it meraculously works.... Thankfully I wasn't too far, but I hope that a similar problem doesn't run into me in the future. Thanks for the help though.
