doesn't sound like metal to me, sounds like techno. sorta reminds me of Rammstein. judging by your screen name i would think that you listen to Gothic sounding music, do you listen to Candlemass?

your quite right there, i meant to add a "not" before the straight up metal part lol i love epic live drumming, umm i heard of candlemass before but not actually heard them care to point me to an awesome song of theirs?, my screenname is one i randomly chose out of my ass more than 5 years ago that is the only screen name across all my memberships that i can actually remember so i kept it lol i like quite alot of genre's be it metal, electronic, classical to dark ambient and beyond

well if you wanna hear a real gothic band you should listen to Radio Werewolf, the creator of the band is now the high priest in the church of satan and is married to the daughter who created the church of satan Anton LaVey. probably not a band you would like though.

but if you wanna hear a band that is metal but with gothic influences you should listen to Candlemass.

Lamb of God are metal for sure, you can't deny that.

Unless you're one of those people who argue about what is "true" metal.

Lamb of God is the only decent one listed there.

Anyway: Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Children of Bodom, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Rammstein, Opeth, Disturbed, Devildriver.. also found Allegaeon recently, they're pretty good to listen to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3j0hYhmlCA

yeah i guess Lamb of God falls under the heavy category but that doesn't mean there metal.

first listen to this Heavy Metal song i uploaded to youtube that was recorded from a vinyl record. (be sure to listen in HD)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_BCjXQg1-k

then listen to this Lamb of God song and you'll see what i mean when i say its not metal, its commercialized heavy music that's written to appeal to teenagers who go to the mall on a weekly basis not for people with an actual taste in music, the song i uploaded to youtube was not written for the masses, real metal doesn't appeal to the masses just crap like Lamb of god, Slipknot and all those other MTV bands. lamb of god is just loud bullshit.

Hardly. They don't have to do something radically different just to be good.
