Question  Decal problem!

Hi all,

I am here with a problem cause all the decals like: Bloodsmear, spiderwebs, cracks in ceiling I can see them in HPL2 Level Editor
but none of them wil appear in the real game.
What could it possibly be?
Plz help me.

RE: Decal problem!

There is the possiblity that you are having a problem with the game loading an old update of your level.

The answer is easy, go to your custom story in the folders. When you find your map, there will be some file that was created without you wanting to. It is called a map cache file. It is a saved copy of your level and you have to delete that map cache file. Then it shall work. If there is no cache file from the start, then I guess I can't fix your problem, it could be of a more significant of a one.

I'd also try that one. That sounds quit logically

Do as this thread says: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-4822.html

That will setup a correct development behavior.

I know man, actually it is solved allready but I forgot to place that.
I was just needed to delete the old Map CACHE file so I could place new decals and then automaticly will a new Map CACHE file be created with the newest decals. Tongue

No you don't want any cache files at all. The cache files are files that saves info about something so it can be loaded faster, but since you are going to be making changes to your map all the time you won't want old versions being loaded.
