Ok I fixed the model, now it's time to make it look creepy...

EDIT: I think waist down is ok, but there is something wrong with the chest and the shoulders. Could be the pose and the thick arms.

my god beautiful work can't wait to see the final result

The shoulders definitely look more natural in your edit. Much more curved and feminine.

One thing that needs improving is the bridge between the shoulders and the neck. If you look at a human you can see that the shoulder and neck curve into each other making a line attaching them instead of it being a an edge in between them. Also since it's supposed to be a starving woman the rib cage should be poking at a little more and the stomache would be more receeded. Hope this helps!

RE: Hermoor's monsters

I think I know what you mean kman, ok here is a new version. Spent the last 30 min rearraging the topology. I think two words will describe this character:

Anorexia
Burn Victim

I found some absolutely horrific reference pictures from real life. I'm not going to show them to you since I suspect there might be small children on these boards. But I think this character will turn out creepy. Before I start on texturing I need to know if this model is good enough...and if the outfit is ok?

This time the texture isn't mirrored so the two sides of the character will have different texture. The idea is this girl was tortured in basement, sexually abused (raped)...they threw acid in her face and never fed her. Let's imagine she was down there alone in the dark for 10 years with a creepy pedophile torturing her with needles and stuff.

She manages to escape the basement and comes out with psychological disorders like Schizophrenia, Masochism, unable to read human emotions...psychopath. Having been fed with living human flesh she has developed a form of human rabies. In other words, she is really unstable.

Ok before I start on the texturing I need to know if you approve of the design below Rigi, I know you wanted a mummy girl. But as someone who has strolled around on sites like uncoverreality and ogrish etc...I know the mummy won't come of as hardcore scary.

Also the hair you see in the screenshot is just a placeholder, there could be some strands of hair above her face as well. I'm planning on using alpha texture for the hair. The glowing eye won't really work, but I have covered up part of her left eye with burnt muscle tissue or...burnt skin. Like eyelid has been damaged by acid or fire or whatever it was she got in the face.

So the right eye will be more clear and white. Perhaps glowing if she runs around in a dark area ingame since the white colour sticks out more than other colours. Anyway the white area around her breasts is a bandage. And then she has panties, I'm not so sure what else to put on her since most...rape victims or people who has been burnt often don't have so much clothes on them.

I was thinking about going more gothic and bondage/torture outfit. But that wouldn't work without chains, and chains is not easy to animate. Also someone who has been a victim of torture are often much scarier than the torturers themself. I think the cancer patient, burn victim look will be much scarier than creepy pedophile woman in latex outfit with chains and spiky collar etc.

Please don't hesitate to critisize the design, it can only become better at this point.

At this point it's really becoming more of your monster design than my own, so really the judgment calls are all yours C:

RE: Hermoor's monsters

Remove all the colours and this is a naked character ready to be decorated. The only differences between your original design and the model above is the sash and the black skin. The sash will be hard to animate I think...it's always so messy animating cloth. I'm sure someone around these forums could do it, so if you want I can add a piece of cloth instead of panties.

It actually would make kind of sense to have a piece of cloth instead of panties since I think the game takes place during the 19th century? Back then poor people probably didn't have tight fitting panties. I also see a lot of more bandages on your design, which of course will be put into the texture. You have to keep in mind all the detail will come with the texture since this is a game model. The eye and the burnt face will also appear.

The fingers are too cool to remove, I'll change the fingers so they are long and dislocated, the only main difference between concept and the model right now is the amount of hair your character has. Hair can be scary, but not really if they are victims of fire. The black skin will also be a problem ingame since many of the enviroments I imagine are quite dark. Dark skin will hardly be seen, and it will be hard to add detail to the texture if everything is suppose to be so dark. Don't you think light skin is better?

Anyway I'm willing to change anything on the model, I'm making this model for you not for myself. So go ahead and tell me what to change so I can start texturing it.
