Help! My friends can't see things that are in my map! - Gandalf1337 - 01-17-2013
So my problem is this:
I have started making my own custom story, but the thing is, I sent my story to 2 friends to let them try it out. And like 2 days ago I had a problem with a door that was really hard to open. And I hadn't added a letter that I added yesterday.
And so today I sent my custom story to my 2 friends, and they tell me that they can't see a letter and that the door is kind of stuck (hard to open). And that is exactly like the "old map" I had 2 days ago (the one without a letter and with a failed door)
But I have checked the files I sent them and all the files are the right ones, The files are EXACTLY the same files as I have. And for me everything works perfectly.
What's wrong?

If the door is hard to open, is probabily because you placed it wrong, and, as the other ocassion, delte map_cache if there are.

I fixed the door in the new version of the map that I sent them today. And the letter is on the .map file(I have checked all files and all files are the new ones) I sent them today to. Also, I deleted the .cache file before sending the map. And I asked them to check if they had a .cache file and they both said no.
The map works perfect for me and nothing is missing and my friends got the EXACT same files as I do

Here's what i see in both threads: You modify your story, you send it to your friends, but friends report the story is not the same as it is on your computer. There is no fundamental difference between the two. Just because a different object is missing this time around doesn't make them completely different.

Maybe your friend has a virtualstore, where the old .cache file was stored?
