We never played Overture, we came across black plague and its expansion before finding out there was a prequel Tongue

Is it necessary to play Overture in order to understand Black Plague? I'm considering buying BP for my friend, and he will have never played Overture before.

we didnt have much of a problem, except the ending was quite... odd :L
