RE: Halo 4 permaban for sexism

What's your point Corinthian? Yes, sexism is a major problem for women, but if you're really going to try totl me that it's not just as bi of a problem for men after watching those videos (and I mean actually watching and listening to what's being said, not just going "you disagree with me so I'm gonna tune out everything you say), then honestly I'd say you're the sexist one here.

Look, I think women deserve just as much respet as anyone else, but my point is there are many other cases of discrimination in modern society that are much worse, so this idea of "women deserve extra attention and are more important!" Is fuckig stupid. I bet if this was a debate over homophobia or racism, you wouldn't be anywhere near as passionate.

You guys are thinking too much on this. It's not because they have hair bad experiance or things like that. It's because they think they are witty, funny, or cool. I know because I used to be one of those people, and I am ashamed of that.

I completely take back what I said about "no thing as male sexism". And I actually had a major example right under my nose.

Bronies.

Girls are allowed to do "boy things", yet males aren't allowed to do "girl things".

inb4 the obvious "bronies are spamming the internet" and other arguments I've heard a million times before.

Still hasn't gotten over the loss of wubwub...

RE: Halo 4 permaban for sexism

Felt like I should expand on my previous post since I was in a rush when I typed that up. Anyways, since you're so dead set on this idea that there is no such thing as male sexism, I thought I'd bring up a few things.

(Unfortunately I lost the link to this article... Still have a pretty good memory of it though, so excuse me if I get some stuff wrong here).
There was a story a while back that I read about a women who got a bunch of her friends together to beat the ever living shit out of her boyfriend. The guy almost ended up dead, and was in intensive care for a month. Within an hour of this being posted, there was a Facebook page dedicated to her claiming that she was a hero to women everywhere, and it got a few thousand likes. Almost every post on it was praising her and making the guy out to be the bad guy. The guy had done nothing to deserve it, he didn't abuse her, he didn't cheat on her. Actually, in fact, after further investigation it was found the woman who beat him to a pulp had actually been cheating on him. How do you think this would have gone if their roles were reversed? I'll tell you, the media would flip shit and the man would be made out to be the villain. Though for some reason since it's the woman that beat the shit out of the guy, people see her like some kind of role model.

Obviously this is a bit of an extreme case, but shit like this happens all the time. Whenever there is any sort of abuse in a relationship it's assumed that the guy is in the wrong. And I'm sorry but if you seriously don't consider that sexism, there's something seriously fucked up with your mind. This is my main proem with feminism, yes woman's rights are important, but there are so many cases where feminism is used to make people pity the woman even if she's in the wrong that it's hard to take it seriously.

I might have just typed that up because I'm bored as fuck since it takes my brother an hour and a half to pick me up each day and I had absolutely nothing to do. Woo.

As a sexist, I'm against getting permabanned, but as we're only talking about Halo 4, I'm all for not playing that game.

Again, there was a misunderstanding. There's no special policy for permabanning in Halo 4.

"Is the one who said he slept with your mother"

But, in seriousness, I really oppose the idea of getting banned in every single online game, just because you said something somebody did not like. I find that it would be yet another step into people being controlled and brainwashed. Sure, nobody may like to be called fat, gay, slut, whathaveyou, but does it hurt anybody? Let me answer that for you, not in any way, shape, or form. The exceptions have to be threats of violence, like "I'm going to find you and murder your mother", because then you could actually hurt somebody. It makes no difference to me if this was said to or by a woman or a man.

I have a "Girl Gamer" friend and she has been called certain names and teased quite a bit as we played. Now, she doesn't mind and neither do I, but the problem is that people have a stereotypical bias that they have set in stone in their minds. No gender or race is superior, as much as some would argue and the quicker we can get over this stupid hurdle made by ourselves for the sole purpose to inflict self-affliction, the better we become as a society in general.

It doesn't hurt anyone, and most people don't care, but the violator should still suffer some form of punishment because he's causing inconvenience to everyone in the game. If we just ignored them because we didn't care, it would be like letting a troll run around posting shit everywhere on a forum without banning him.

This sentence is what I think should be the proper response to such insults in a nutshell:

Gamer A: "YOU FAT SLUTTY, AND SUCK DICK!!111!!"

Gamer B: "Oho, you so funny, but...no, you get off this server right now because you're annoying the people here."
