dissapearing note

Hi.

I entered the library and found found a note in a drawer. Examining it let's me know that it's unreadable, but I pick it up nonetheless. But now I can't find it in either my notebook or inventory. I tried to load the game and got the same result. Is this intended or did I encounter a glitch?

Intended as it is unreadable and Clarence will give u clues instead.

I thought is showed up in the inventory when picked though. But perhaps it is deleted when the secret room is found.

Did you find the secret room?

I found the secret room, but the note was not there even before I discovered it. I guess I just found it arbitrary that picking up a note would only serve as a trigger to get clues from elsewhere.

Since you found the secret room, then the note isn't important anymore.

The note we are talking about is from Black Plague.
I guess you're meaning the Blank note you find from one of the miners lockers?
