You may be on to something here. I actually could run the demo. . . sometimes. It would run slowly sometimes, then crash when I alt-tab to kill it, giving an access violation on an nvidia dll. I tried to copy the stack trace, but to no avail. Hopefully you're on the right track.

EDIT: Ok, I got screenshots of the blackbox.

RE: Fatal Error Renderer 0...
I've tried the last Rendertest(the one that come with glew.dll) and it run, but with graphic issue
TEST7: Totally dark opbject and floor
TEST14: No shadow of the object on the floor and no light "circle" on the floor

EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT.... I've tried the last AmnesiaDemo.exe and IT WORKS. It works only with the demo? I've wait for a patch for the full game?

EDIT2: Damn... i was so full of hope Sad It only works with the 640x480, no full screen and default setting on the other options Sad

Your blackbox output points to some kind of driver prbblem.

I don't see how, I uninstalled it, booted into safe mode, ran the driver sweeper, then installed the newest driver available.

I am afraid there is not more I can do to help. If the crash only happens during ALT-Tab then that is not too strange, as a it is known that alt-tabbing is not that stable.

As for your slow downs, there is a lot of reasons for this. What graphics card do you have? Make sure there is no overheating and that no background process interferes.
