Stuck in cistern

Hello, so the thing is, from the 3 valves that you can spin, just one is working for me, and it is the gas one, i mean, it does nothing but turns the gas on and off.
So it's this, i can do nothing more, there's nothing more to do.
Oh BTW, why would i make a transfusion from a dead body some steps earlier?

There is 4 valves, AFAIR, 3 of them changes the waterflow (so you can pss further) and one just for GAS.

I have no idea whydevs put this valve here btw, you can't kill watermonster with that coz he nevar goes off from water :<

The fungus in the sewers gives off a poisonous gas that fills the pipes and would kill you if you do not inoculate yourself to it. By injecting the blood of an inoculated dead servant into yourself, you become immune to it and can proceed.
