[split] Steam: Invalid file pointer

Wow, I sure effed up. I bought this game through Steam, too, on the merits of its excellent reviews. Upon the umpteenth error pop-up, I became suspicious. Here's the hpl.log, but it doesn't even matter, I'm on a MacBook, et cetera.

ERROR: Unable to open config file 'config/menu.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!

(Splitting to new thread as it's different topic entirely).

In steam Right click (or ctrl-click) on Amnesia and choose properties.

In the properties dialog choose the "Local Files" tab and pick "Verify integrity of game cache".

It looks to me that you have some kind of corruption in your download somehow.

Can you also check your system log (run the Mac OS X Console application and look for entries in there related to the Amnesia Launcher.)

Also please provide more details on your Macbook and OS.
