Any other horror games you guys play?

I've played a lot, but I've always been a fan of the first 3 Resident Evil games. The only Silent Hill game I've gotten a chance to play was Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. A little disappointing, but I liked it. That was the first survival horror I've played where you're defenseless, but I was hoping it would be much more tense and suspenseful like Amnesia and any of the Penumbra games, but still a good game.

I really want to play Silent Hill 1&2 though, I know those would probably be better as far as being scary.

I agree, I thought Condemned 2 was also pretty good. Not as good as the first, but it was worth it for a part later in the game alone IMO.

Amnesia was the first horror game I've ever played. I would like to try the early RE and SH games, since I was too broke to get them when they first came out. Sadly, many horror games are shooters of one kind or another, which is something that I never cared much for.

I actualy got into Amnesia becuase I was fed up with Hollywood's piiddling attempts to produces a good horror movie. (I LOVE a good horror movie, but all they seem to do now is either go for gore-porn, or have a a wearily predictable plot where I can tell you in the first few minutes whio will live, who will die, who gets the girl, etc...) So when I read in Game Informer about Amnesia, I immediately started to look into it.

F.E.A.R. It was a fun play through but not nearly as fun as Amnesia. I bought Penumbra but haven't started yet.

Played most of the ones mentioned in here. So to name a few that don't get much attention:
D on the PS1, and D2 on the Dreamcast, both really far-out horror games.
Cold Fear, a pretty underrated RE4-like horror game. I really loved the cargo ship setting.
Pathologic and The Void, two of the most interesting games I've ever played.
And finally Fatal Frame, spooky-ass Japanese ghost story game.

no the thread isnt about other horor games I personly play.

Certainly has some horror elements, although all the relative scariness dies after about 15 minutes. Some people have different views on horror, I suppose because they aren't yours it makes them wrong?

Definitely does NOT include any horror elements.
There is NO intention to scare the player.

Though, if you are calling the fear of death as a horror element, then blops has horror elements too. Especially, after playing Amnesia, calling L4D as a horror game...

Oh, no. I can't take it anymore. Yes, it is even scarier than Amnesia.
