Multiple crashes with no error messages

I'm in the Nave and Charnel areas and I'm trying to find what's causing my game to crash. I can't seem to find a trigger for it crashing at all. I had problems a few days ago with a certain sound byte triggering a crash, which I fixed by getting the newest update and starting from an earlier save point, but now I'm having more problems. I've reinstalled the game, but to no avail.

This is because steam installed the latest patch while you are in the middle of a game. Try loading again an earlier save game before entering the problematic area.
