I've been wondering. Why can't we use custom member titles? You know, there's the "(Posting Freak)" member title. Why can't we change that to whatever we like it to?
I know moderators can do that. But then why can't members do so too? Is there some kind of requirement/s needed for that?
The moderators obviously need access to some fancy features that are not available to the ordinary rabble. Otherwise, how would they stay motivated? They're not being paid after all.

But how would "custom member titles" affect that? They still have the ability to ban users, lock/unlock threads, etc.. We don't get to ban users, lock threads, but at least we could get "custom member titles" after reaching a certain postcount/repcount or something.

Why not let everyone with 1000+ posts change their member title to whatever they want? Themselves, that is.

I really do not see the point in even bringing this topic into existence..
Moderators are the only ones who can change their member titles; and for a reason. It makes them special; and keeps them motivated, as hirnwirbel said. Leave it at that.
Ask Jens about it. He takes care of those.
I just remove spam from these boards.
