Let's play a game. It's called the Unbirth Challenge! The goal is to record how far you can progress into Unbirth before you encounter some bug, error, or crash, whatever it is that stops you from playing further!

If you get to the end you win a gold star.

I ran it in compatibility mode for XP and got up to the second floor of the house where there is a room with a picture of a dude clawing his eyes out before exiting the room only to find an indefinite loading screen.
I am barely getting anywhere! I only get so far as to the first screen but after I hit New Game the game just quits and crashes. A shame really because I would like to try it out, at least a little further. Undecided
Wow, now that's a challenge! I only played once and crashed when entered the house. Gonna try it again!!!
Mine was at the basement and boom, it crashed.
Was it the second door... or third, can't really remember anymore.
So long time since I've played it. Tongue
where can I download this??
By reading the text I see maybe the name fits it well, in a way. Kind of a sad story.
I will give it a try. Thx
lol it is indeed hard to go further. On my 3rd attempt, I managed to explore the whole house, but when I used the house key on the front door it just froze in black screen...

Even tho this game is obviouly more "primitive" than the released ones, I felt a strong sense of scary environment. It's the 1st time I see such a strong first game attempt.

One thing I don't realy understand is: the very 1st time I went close to the trash cans the view moved and there was a sound of disgust, which I found really cool, but that only happened once. All the other times I played it nothing really seems to happen there.

Is this random or is it triggered by something I might not have triggered again?
Nice Challenge.

Let's just hop these bugs will be fixed one day Big Grin
I don't think anyone will fix it. You can always hope, however. Smile

But if you have patience/interest enough, you can load the maps one by one to see what the game was like. City in the game was kinda cool and it was entertaining to explore it. Tongue
