first off i got the game a week ago i updated all my drivers. i tried everything i read that will run it. nothing works also i have it downloaded on steam and i have a nvidia gtx 275 graphics card. also is the update on steam yet i have not seen anything? thank you
Steam is updated. Post the hpl.log file from My Documents/Amnesia/
ok so i looked i could not find the hpl.log were exactly in the amnesia files is it located. and what exactly is it? thanks
oh and i guess it might be helpful that i add. when i start it up it goes to the starting up window for steam for like 1 sec then disappears i dont know if that'll be any use
log file is if you go to the hard drive where you have Windows installed, then navigate down into Users/[your user]/My Documents/Amnesia
Can't recall where it is for Windows XP if you have that, but I think you can access it through the start Menu if you open the Documents folder.
i have vista i looked through documents, and also all the amnesia files. ha i know nothing about any of this.
use search in window and search for the file.
yea i did that the first time.
In that case the game does not even launch so hard to know what could be wrong, could be anything from a Steam problem to some system error, software conflict and what not. Have no idea really sorry.
ok well thanks for the help. its a shame i really wanted to play. would the error files be located anywere else under a different name or is their some way to get them i looked to see if their was a way for that and no one knew how.
ok i did find somthing that was in all the the files i opened in notepad idk if this is what your looking for or not.
