I really, really doubt it's financial trouble.

Well, we know he got sick so may be there was no one to take care of some important decisions and questions in his business (or they were solved badly) and thus the poor results that leads to "crumbling empire". or may be it is a metaphor to the shattering of his own personal world (due to the discovery in mexico?), his outlook and believes, etc.

I got a good laugh out of this.

I've come to learn to not fear the living, nor the dead... But the monsters that hide in closets.

So, looking back at a later interview, I can guess another part of Oswald's life that is crumbling is the horrendous 'family tragedy' in Mesoamerica in the Aztec ruins mentioned once. I'm willing to guess something terrible happened to a family member who was with him, and Mandus received the lighter end of the punishment, which sends him into a coma.

Will AAMFP support newer graphics cards?

I keep running into the same old thing where I boot up Amnesia: TDD, and go for the auto-detect options when selecting the graphics quality.

After that it simply informs that the video card is not "listed", and presumes medium settings.

What is this "listing" that you speak of?

Now hopefully, this will be fixed for Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.

I have noticed that even with my Nvidia GTX 560, I may get immense lag when playing on my native resolution. (1920x1080)

Is this because Amnesia fails to take advantage of my video card properly?

Is it possible for it to use it to a larger extent?

In other video games, such as WoW or CoD, my graphics card makes a considerable amount of noise, but the games run at a solid 45-60fps on maxed graphics. When I play Amnesia, it's completely quiet, as if I never even started any game.

The fps goes around 15 or 20 to 30 when on my native resolution. Sometimes the game randomly boosts up to a solid 60fps, but after doing something like reading a note and exiting it, the fps suddenly drops low again.

I do have the latest drivers installed aswell.

It would be a shame to have such a problem in AAMFP, as I know that It'll be a fantastic experience, which could potentially be ruined by low framerate.

The game seems to run as fast for me as it did on my Nvidia 9500GT, which is far less powerful.

My processor is an Intel i5 2320 3GHz, 6GB RAM, 1TB worth of disk space. My PSU is also sufficient.

There are no "viruses" or "extra background programs" that could be slowing the game down.

What do you guys think?
And do you think AAMFP will have better support on newer graphics cards?
I certainly hope so.

^^this. Even a concept art would make me happy Big Grin
So far, this is my favorite. I love the contrast of cold, gloomy night and warm light of gaslights. Btw, is that St Paul's Cathedral in the middle of image?

I have the Nvidia GTX 560 as well. It runs perfectly fine at around 50-60 FPS when I have my laptop on High Performance mode. But I run on the 1600:900 resolution. Have you tried dropping it to that?

Is Vsync on? Try turning that off to see if it does anything.
