It's just she's not doing anything interesting really. It sounds like she's trying to go for something in between a yell like you'd see in hardcore and deeper, more guttural vocals that you hear in a lot of more extreme genres of metal, and it just ends up sounding muddled and uninteresting imo. That same sort of vocal style is used in a lot of melodic metalcore (minus the cleans at least) which I usually despise so that's also probably part of it.

Yeah you are right, but I think she has talent when she practise more. It's just a funny situation to see a (female) death metal singer in such a mainstream show together with so many idiots. Wink

I'm also astonished, that the jury let pass her to the next round. Shows that they are not fully closed-minded and only focusing on pop singers.

It is unusual, she had guts... But in other ways I would say she was better off finding a band, because death metal singing to a backing track doesn't really fit I thought (first time I've properly heard it)

In other ways, it was good advertisement for herself as i'm sure many guys/girls would be after someone who can do that.

Death metal is not a genre i'm really into so can't judge whether she is good or not.
