I have an AMD 4core (forgot name, something menacing-sounding) and a Geforce 9600 Pro (1Gb videomemory). Will that be fast enough to play on good settings? TTD works fine.

I noticed that, for AAMFP, they used the image of a monster.... LOOK .

They image of the monster that they used, comes from deviantart and is this:
What that means? Is this ^^ the real monster, (that it's pretty similar to the one we've seen in the last screenshot), or the company used the first image found on the web? Cheers Tongue
It is fanart, yes, and not exactly art but rather poorly done photomanipulation. I have no idea why would Shentloc use fanart, that does not credit any stocks and resources, as a promo art without any permission as it seems.
Shady and weird.
Good thing I will be playing original on english.

These comparison charts for Intel vs AMD processors might help:

Ahhh, maybe it would be better when i just buy and test it and dont comment it on every thread here...
(Even when TDD ran really fine)
Just be quiet and try it Piggy...
Also, the picture of the monster looks so... wrong. I dont think it will look like that though.

The question that will never be answered:
SOMA WHY ARE YOU SO BEAUTIFUL? ;_;

Thanks, but as there doesn't appear to be any specific "2.0 Ghz core i5 CPU" or "2.0 Ghz core i7 CPU" it's hard to find an AMD match. I feel this should be addressed. (my PC has an AMD Phenom II X2 560 running at 3.3 GHz).

This issue should of course be discussed in the System Requirements thread here:

http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-22443.html

BUT it's been CLOSED ........ (I have no idea why - if it was open it would save cluttering up this thread with hardware enquiries).

Still a bit worried about the system requirements though. Maybe i should forget playing it now. My computer is too bad for it.

For those with AMD CPUs - I'm curious which AMD CPUs are equivalent to the Intel i5 and i7. Support is mentioned regarding the main competing graphics chipsets by nVidia and ATI, so why no mention of which AMD CPUs meet the minimum and recommended specs? Smile
Well it depends if it makes good use of multi threading then a lower end AMD cpu can do good if not the you want to have Deneb/thuban or bulldozer/piledriver based chips.
There is no equiv since the i5/i7 range goes back to nehalem > westermere > sandy bridge > ivy bridge > haswel

It will probably be well threaded and run mostly of the gpu so as long as the gpu is good you'll be fine.

AMD 4core if this means you have a first gen phenom then you're screwed since these were bad real bad.
Since TDD ran fine this is probably not the case can you run DXDIAG for us or device manager to check?

9600 is about 80% of a gts8800 depending on clocks of course it should be fine just don't use too much AA.

Worst benchmark available really.
Though the database is huge it isn't accurate and the numbers tell only half the story.

Thanks maarten12100 - in which case it must be asked of Frictional: was AAMFP tested on any PCs with AMD CPUs? If so, which ones? Do you have a minimum spec and recommended spec for people with AMD CPUs? There are a lot of us out there ..... not everybody has i5 and i7 Intels. Smile

Oh, sorry then. I saw it recommended at PC Help Forum.

I have an AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.90 GHz, is it good enough to play AAMFP?

What about Nvidias, I Have a Nvidia GeForce GT 650M/PCle/SSE2 and TDD runs perfectly. Is it able to run AMFP?
