Some entities for your woods - The chaser - 02-01-2013

Tired of putting block boxes that fit your pines? Tired of having to disable collision in a lot of stupid trees that you put in your map? I HAVE THE SOLUTION!

It's really simple: This tree isn't a new model, is a new entity. It comes with several bodies all around it, so you won't have to worry about the collision bugs trees may cause.

UPDATED!

I have realised that pines aren't the only thing that needs collision disabled, so I'm going to upload more outdoor ENTITIES so you can make outdoors map faster Smile

Download link:

How-to install:

Extract folder in redist<entities<whateverfolder
Now it's ready to use it when you want it!
When going to release your CS with this tree, put it in YOURSTORY<entities<yourfolder

ENJOY!

FG made the models, I just made them less buggy.

Is this free to use ?

EDIT : You should put some pictures. So everyone can see the models.

The tree isn't a new model, so he doesn't really need a screenshot. The trees in amnesia are very buggy when the player and other objects collide with them. The chaser basically used the static object tree model to make an entity, and using the model editor, he added bodies to it (just like how you would put a block box around them in the level editor) so that when things collide with the tree, they don't spaz out.

I'll probably start using this tree because it will be a lot faster than putting block boxes around every tree Tongue

Understood.

Be careful with the credits here. This is a FG model, not a custom one. Example:

Model: Frictional Games
Entity: The chaser

I know FG would not mind, but it is the right thing to do.

Guys, thanks for the possitive feedback! I'm going to upload an even more improved entity, just in case. I reminded something that I forgot to do when I uploaded it.

I just tested it with one tree, I should check now if it works with a lot of them (sorry for this human error).

Okay, entity updated:

I've tested it with lots of trees and stuff and works perfectly for me. Please tell me if you have issues with the entity.
