2009-12 Saturday 12th, The art of Timelapse. - jens - 12-12-2009

To speed up the development of our next horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent we have started to timelapse ourselves. This way it only takes 5 minutes to do the same amount of work as you would normally need 30 minutes to accomplish!

To demonstrate take a look at our latest video, showing just how fast you can be when using our Level Editor for Amnesia. You can also read a bit more about the video and the creation of it in our latest blog post.

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Great video! I wonder when we can try out the first quest ourselves :-)

I like the music very much, too. Will it be in the final game? What is it?

Yes. Several new actually.

Beware though, encountering enemies will not be something to look forward to as chances are high it will result in madness or death.

That's what I love about your way of making horror games. I'm tired of the common AAA horror scene, where you can even kill ghosts with an SMG (FEAR 2)... how incoherent or nonsense that is...
Being vulnerable was one of the ingredients I liked the most in penumbra series. And that's what makes me interested in upcoming games from you.

Good work. Keep it up.
Wink

EDIT: I wonder if you will release the level editor after the game is released. That would be great, cuz the editor seems amazing.

And you're going to lay out mp3 from the game or the game menu?

It is music written for the game and it will probably be in the final game at some place!

The editors should come with the game, or if not by default as an extra download shortly after release.

Nothing planned, but maybe later who knows.

Madness? How is that pulled out in the game? Like in Eternal Dakness for the Gamecube?

The editor looks really cool, how is quests created? Through the editor or are they made using another tool?
