Is it our responsibility to make you happy? You're not special, nor unique; Many here have or has had problems like you. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad, but you say it like it's our fault that you're depressed.

I'm not sure if you're just here for the attention or if it's a call for help, maybe both, but maybe you should actually talk to someone and get help.

RE: Random Stuff

I tried helping you before, you didnt seem to accept it much

We asked you whats wrong, you replied with swear words and caps "it isnt that fucking hard to guess" and left the group.

You're not a bad person infact I dont see anything wrong with you at all and I cant even wrap my head around whats making your life so bitter. Anyways, from my past experiences I'm just too tired to spend time trying to help someone that either turns everything down or that doesnt appreciate help.

peace

Did I miss something? Sad to see you going, though I agree the forums are a bit.. different, as of late. Not too much joy and encouragement like it used to be. I'm not complaining about people getting into adolescence, realizing their problems and need a place to vent. I just think it's better to keep those kinds of things outside a public forums because most of the time things end up personal, which I suspect is the case here. And when stuff like personal issues gets tangled up in public forums, things only end badly.

There's a reason why I left the forums for about 3/4 of a year last year. To be frank, I'm only here again to promote my project (as well as getting into a handful of discussions) as I think the forums have degraded heavily since three or so years ago.

Again, sad to see you going, I hope you'll find better company than these forums, because let's face it, there's no reason to invest yourself in a community which as of late is built on people fueling each other's problems instead of taking care of them professionally.

I might sound harsh now to some people and I'm not afraid to piss people off, I think it's important to point out when a community gets drowned in depression, issues, personal confessions and overall slight hopelessness because it's a vicious cycle and stuff like this happens..

RE: Random Stuff

what do you want us to do? Was anyone here insulted? No, we were simply asking whats wrong. Did anyone here tell him to go away? No. This is not suicide watch, this is not a clinic, it's a game forum where as much as we can do is try to help him/you/whoever through text.

And I think the community and the members of that skype group were pretty damn chill and nice about it too.

As I said, I tried helping personally (not gonna point out the name) X doesnt want to talk about it, Y doesnt want help. What more do you want? donations? Before he left the group we asked whats wrong and only reply we got was "CANT YOU GUESS?". Pretty much same story on forum, people here are offering hand and the only thing we get is that we're somehow accusing him of attention seeking.

give me fucking million neutral points all you two want, but this is straight up bullshit

Oh, you know, maybe because we're not everybody's personal therapist? I mean, Dogfood and many others have already tried to help(show compassion, advice, etc.), but obviously it's not working.

You basically proved my point, it's an incredibly bad idea to open up personally on a public forum, and to expect people you don't know to give a shoe is naive and clueless.

Dealing with people with depression or other issues deeply engraved is a hard task and often being compassionate and giving advice is not enough, trust me I've had to deal with depressed friends and I've had second hand experiences with alcoholics, it's not fun.

And that's why I continuingly make point that opening up on forums is an unfavourable action, if not for others but for yourself, find professional help instead of imagining that you can somehow get help at a forum with people well under 20 years old, this is not to come across as an insult but to bring up the fact that most people under 20 haven't dealt with their own problems to begin with and are certainly not ready to deal with people with similar problems.

Things like this don't need to happen, but this forum have become a place for people to vent their deepest personal issues and stuff like this often happen when people do that and it worries me that it's the way the forums are heading.

I'm just going to... leave these here
http://www.helpguide.org/mental/suicide_help.htm
http://www.suicideprevention.ca/
http://www.helpguide.org/mental/self_injury.htm
http://www.cmha.ca/mental_health/youth-a...0nYafldVdM
http://studentsagainstdepression.org/get...ing-urges/
http://www.hopeline.com/
http://www.suicide.org/
http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/

and here's a list of all international suicide hotlines
http://www.suicide.org/international-sui...lines.html

As someone mentioned to me before - don't feel like you're wasting their time by calling. If you don't call, they're just sitting around reading books or playing games. You don't even have to tell them your real name and, as far as I'm aware (having never called there myself), it's free to call.

If you'd prefer not to use your voice (personally, I find it really awkward when someone else can tell what my emotional state is - especially if I'm crying), there are forums specifically for suicide/depression help:
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/
http://www.depressionforums.org/
http://www.takethislife.com/
http://psychcentral.com/resources/Depres...rt_Groups/
https://blueboard.anu.edu.au/
http://forums.psychcentral.com/depression/
http://www.suicideforum.com/

Other than that, a lot of psychiatrists and psychologists offer walk-in appointments for emergencies (I know my university does) and hospitals usually have social workers on-duty for situations like that.

I'm not a psychiatrist and, as much as I'd love to help, I don't think I'd be the best person to talk to and I'm not a crisis hotline. That said, I'll listen if you need to vent about something Smile
