Not Solved Question  Amnesia Dark Descent not start from the Hard Mode patch
Hello:

I use Steam.

If I try to run Amnesia: The Dark Descent from Steam (Launcher or Game), nothing happens from Hard Mode patch.
I try to verify files and to uninstall and install Dark Descent again with another verify files after game not run.
I try to rename main_settings.cfg without luck.
I try to rename Main without luck (with the same log file).

If I click (with Steam open) in
/home/krovikan/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Amnesia The Dark Descent/Launcher.bin.x86_64
or in

the Launcher appears but when I Click Start Game appears this message on screen:

FATAL ERROR: Could not init steam!

If I click (with Steam open) in
/home/krovikan/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Amnesia The Dark Descent/Amnesia_NOSTEAM.bin.x86_64
or in

I have the same problem, I'm on Antergos. TDD doesn't launch from steam, but Machine for Pigs starts fine.
For The Dark Descent, I had to include a steam_appid.txt with ID inside the file (57300). Then start the executable manually from the folder of the game.

Is very strange.

I made in /home/krovikan/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Amnesia The Dark Descent/ a file steam_appid.txt with 57300 inside only.

With this, the game and Launcher runs OK from /home/krovikan/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Amnesia The Dark Descent/

In Steam launcher don't work and if I want make achievements, I think is needed to launch from Steam interface. Right?

Well. I play a bit clicking in /home/krovikan/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Amnesia The Dark Descent/
Amnesia.bin.x86_64 with the file steam_appid.txt made previuoly.

A achievement is pop up. And in Steam interface is reflected the achievement.

Obviously, it would be more comfortable executing from Steam interface instead to make a file and click the bin.

For my part, everything is already there. Thanks to @hacheipe399 to solution (it's not perfect but better than nothing).

Yes. With the 57300 inside.

Run the bin from the game directory (with Steam open) and play the game with achievements.

you're welcome! It's really strange since this issue doesn't happen to A Machine for Pigs (and it's the same engine), and I thought it was only a problem of mine until I saw this thread. I don't know if this is steam's fault or Amnesia's.
