About custom textures...
yeah, I don't know how to create them. At all. I'm seriously confused about what I need in order to make a texture, and yes I've searched all over the forums to see if there were tutorials or anything else that'll be helpful but with no go. Sad

I need someone to help out a fellow noob here :/ I want to create custom textures, but I'm really confused on what I need (photoshop etc.), what I have to convert and so forth.

Please help!

RE: About custom textures...
DevIL supports many image formats. For performance reasons, DDS is preferred due to its mipmap support. Download and install the GIMP and download and install the GIMP DDS plug-in. Then when saving your work, save with the DDS file type. Then a little dialog will pop up, pick DXT1 for compression, and make sure mipmaps is checked. Then if you want the game to use it, you make a material file for the texture.
