I suck. I can't even get past the damn pipe with the freezing vapor. I've found the thermostat of course but I can't find any way to operate it.
EDIT: Unrelated, but it's good this laptop I bought can more or less run the game at a reasonable level of performance. The card isn't that powerful (Intel X3100), which is why I'll be interested in seeing the Linux demo; it might even run a bit faster than it does in Vista.
GFree: This means you can run the game on an Intel card? If so finally and Intel card that can
Since when does an intel card work with penumbra?
Right, Tomas beet me to it..
Oh ha ha.
For the record, this is one of the better mobile graphics chipsets Intel have produced. The only other problem is that if I try running the game using "Very High" shaders, the textures have weird colors. It's particularly noticeable on the bed in the opening room. Other than that, a little fooling around with the options and it's quiet fine.

Huh o_O ? Which intel graphic card are you using ??

Why are people asking more about the Intel chipset than the demo? Is this a revelation or something?
Remember, the frame rate isn't that amazing in Vista, but it's doable... which is why I'm interested to see how it performs in Ubuntu. I still want to know about that thermo though!
BTW, game looks pretty darned good, and runs super smooth. I'm guessing that part of this is because the "levels" are so ridiculously small.. but, out of curiosity, is there some way to benchmark?
(and how the hell do you get through after you pick up the thing and then that bad guy comes after you)
So, this new monster is know as 'the bad guy'. Nice. I'm still back at the freezer thing afraid to leave the vent..
