Solution: Just make it broken to pieces. This will loose some of that little flame of hope in the player's heart.

I know that a weapon of any kind would somewhat ruin it, but it wouldn't be interactable and sure you can put it in a glass display case of sorts.
However there might be the problem of another modeller taking the model and make it interactable, then I would agree with you that a gun would completely ruin the game.

Sure that could work. Perhaps a crusader sword? Non-interactable ofc.
