Thanks guys some great feedback to how im somehow gonna get this thing off the ground.

Lol acies you ninjad me xD No offense taken, just made me laugh. I couldn't actually whatch that video on my computer had to go to my phone xD

Ill see what i can do, my brother decided to put in now a total of 200 increaing my joke into what i think would be a budget of 275$ Any new suggestions? =P

4GB RAM isn't that bad. I have 4GB RAM and I've never had problems with games or otherwise.
Running 4GB ram on win xp isn't actually 4gb, it's more like 3.3gb. Problems also arise depending on what you play/do of course Smile

For me Xnormal would crash if I baked high poly models higher than ~ 7 million polygons. Heroes of newerth would crash, as the memory load increased. Guildwars 2 would also crash occasionally. Browsers can also hog a lot of ram, my chrome sits at 0,6 GB atm. With a lot of tabs open it can easily reach above 1 GB. Upon that I run skype, steam and spotify in the background - each taking at least around a 0,15 GB each.

Basically a combination of background programs plus 'active' programs would cause memory problems on my old rig. It all depends on the habits of the user. Perhaps WIWWM and MyRedNeptune are users who do not listen to music or talk to friends while playing games. WIWWM might be one of those patient users who spends his queue time in league of legends watching the 'seconds timer' tick rather than browse in the background, who knows?

Ultimately a little more RAM skips a lot of problems. You have the luxury of using your computer as you see fit at the moment, rather than being mindful of ram usage. It should also limit crashes to a bare minimum.

As you mention, one can very well live with 4GB - but there might be problems depending on the habits of the user. So 8GB is a safer option - fitting in most styles of using a computer.

All good suggestions - I do believe he mentions in OP that he has bought 2x2GB ram sticks, so your first option lands precisely on his budget :]
