RE: Dark Souls 2

I feel like if they included some "proper" modding tools. I would actually love the game more, because hell am I bored. Played the crap out of it, and I'm just bored out of my mind making new toons to try different combinations of fighting style.

When you in DS1 just had the flasks which you had to graduate clever you can easily buy the gems in DS2. I had never really a problem with my "health-management" in DS2. Also it feels like the bonfires are very close together. I was suprised when I discovered a new bonfire, because I didn't even needed one at the moment. Smile

I thought the bonfire placement was just right. Right when I was starting to go "So much progress! Where's da bonfire!? Need to spend these souls" I would find one minutes later.

I like the bosses in DS2 as well, it's just that most of them didn't stand out to me too specially in some way especially when compared to the first game where almost all the bosses lingered in my mind after beating them.

Although the Looking Glass Knight is indeed a super cool boss though.

I also wished there were more "graceful" bosses to add a bit of variety, instead of the mostly badass, or disgusting, like Sif, Moonlight Butterfly, or Gyndolin from the first game.

EDIT: Oh and yes, I am playing exclusively on mouse+keyboard because I don't have a controller Smile

Dark Souls 2 DLC is coming out around this time! Anyone play it yet? Any thoughts?

I have not gotten it yet myself, but plan to soon.

I haven't finished the main game yet, so I probably won't buy the dlc until winter.

A DLC? Haven't heard of one coming out, what's the name of it? I would gladly check it out.

Yeah, not playing the DLC anytime soon. My only char is at the start of NG+, so if rumors are true it will take a while to go where the DLC is supposed to begin.

But good that there are 3 DLCs coming. Was unsatisfied with the ending.

Good that I haven't begun the NG+ then. Definitely going to check this DLC out. However it's kind of weird that you're searching for Vendrick's crown when the King's set contains a crown.

It's a dlc-trilogy.

The first is Crown of the Sunken King (July 22nd)
The second is Crown of the Old Iron King (August 26th)
The third is Crown of the Ivory King (September 24th)

I'm boycotting this shit, this is what FROM said

Quote: “For Dark Souls II, we don’t even expect any additional downloadable content because we want to deliver a full game, the full experience, to fans who purchase the package from day one,”

yeah full game my ass, cut some original content and sell it as 3 separate dlc, and get more dosh

Aaand I've heard that they still haven't fixed the framerate bugs, which is quite unforgivable

It's a really unfortunate time, and age we live in regarding DLC. One one side of the coin it is shameful that companies cut content to sell as early DLC, but on another side it is extremely unfortunate for companies that want to sell legit DLC/expansions made after the actual game, but get called out on it because DLC influx has made us all really cynical.

In short, I have faith in FROM that this DLC is the genuine deal, and not something cut from the main game.
