Anyone else notice the music from penumbra overture's main menu in the beginning. well, something very similar to it at least...

Looks pretty good, although I really wish horror games (read: horror games other than Penumbra/Amnesia Big Grin) would stop relying on 'shocker' scares.

i must admit that dead space worked quite well in that department.

^ This. Specialy because it had a fair ammount of building up too. Love those sudden calm moments, where nothing happens and you just fear that anytime something will happen. It's just too calm to be true. Smile

One of my favorite Lovecraftian horror games, although third person and on a console, was Eternal Darkness. Had a good plot, a variety of horror and got Sanity effects down to a T.

You can't top a game faking your console crashing or the controls suddenly inverting, your head falling off or doors refusing to open as your sanity drops. Great mind games!

Yeah , I remember !!!

Eternal Darkness was awesome with the insanity and all ...

3 endings and 1 special ending i never saw unfortunately(there were 3 Gods and 1 hidden God).
