Anyways, I have no definitive intention behind that painting, so I find your interpretation very interesting. You could argue that it is a rather romantic work, since I was focusing on emotions rather than a rational statement. In a way it is also very selfish, like my private work often is. Having more to do with me than trying to make a comment about my environment (though it is possible to see the self as the biggest comment about ones environment). All in all, I also get a kick out of keeping my stuff open enough for different interpretations. And yes, spirals and other simple geometric forms are very fascinating. One of the steps was a block instead of the spiral/torus form, but I decided differently in the end, because I think it looked to blunt.
