No. There will never be a version of ANY Frictional game for consoles. And they will NEVER make a fad game. (Motion gaming is a fad)
Well, they were saying they were looking into consoles, but I doubt that they would ever do motion sensor stuff with their newer games.

Because the person who makes them is usually the regular console peasant wanting a great game on their console, while the glorious PC master race mocks him.

Is Bill Gates the Führer?

Honestly though, there are some games for consoles, and there are some games for the PC. Amnesia can really go either way possibly (with the classic handheld control, not this kinect eyetoy rip off bullshit), but due to the narrow mindedness of the community any idea suggesting this will get shotdown, flamed, and probably molested.

There are very logical reasons for this reaction, though. You see, since consoles are to be hooked up to TVs and the player sits further away from it than he would from a PC monitor, so FOV would need to be decreased (not a good idea). Also, console controls are absolutely terrible for games that require accuracy. Most games attempt to make up for it by cheating for the player with things like built-in aimbots, but it's nowhere near as smooth as a mouse. Also, inventory management would need to be much clunkier and more immersion breaking.

They've been saying for a LONG time that they'd love to port their games to consoles, but they haven't had the budget or means to do so. Undecided

I remember when I use to play super mario 64 as a kid I use to be right up to the TV. Meh, it kinda depends on what kind of set up you have, and if you believe that bullshit about your eyess going bad from watching tv. Some people actually have their computers hooked up to a tv, I even have a mouse designed for that type of setup for some reason.

Don't you just love it when fanboys speak for the developers based off of nothing, and end up completely wrong?

(not referring to you freeman)

I'm not a fanboy. I have a 360, PS3, and a Wii. But the game would not work properly on consoles for many reasons mentioned in this thread, theres been tons of threads about it. Frictional has thought about it, but they would not make enough extra money to justify porting the games to consoles, it would take too much time and money.

You said that there will never be ANY Frictional Game on consoles. Clearly, they said they were looking into the possibility for future games.
