Oh yeah! Great work man! Great work! That's all I can say about this
Regards,
Ferry Adams
When are ya realising it ? It looks incredible.
It reminds me of 2 Half life 2 mods with the same kind of storytelling:
- Dear Esther
- Korsakovia
Are you influenced by these mods?
Thanks for the encouraging words guys. I'm working hard on this and I want it to be very fun to play. Though, polishing the levels takes so long that sometimes I get bored of working on this.

It's TBD for now, I hope to release it before Q4 2011.

Actually someone else asked me about influences on ModDB, especially those two mods. Yeah, I played both of them and I liked them very much, they both are from Dan Pinchbeck. Of course there are some influences; however limiting them to two HL2 mods would be very harsh. I'm planning to release a making-of-like documentary after release of White Night and there is a list of influences with all references in details in that. If anyone interested, name of the hospital comes from Danvers State Hospital which is
real and featured in movie Session 9. Session 9 is in influence list too.
However, story is very unique and lack of cliché and probably nothing like seen in games so far.
Still can't wait to play this, it looks amazing.
Also, congrats on your new name!
Well, you will have to wait because it's not even halfway finished.
And thanks a lot. I'll work for Frictional Community from now on
Never forget: If it wasn't for stubborn noobs like me you'd never have been able to show off your community handling skills!
Quote:What I'm trying to do here, is making a completely story-oriented mod, to see if one particular kind of story-telling can immerse the players. Nothing less, nothing more.
So by this do you mean we don't have to be nervous about monsters? Just focus on immersing ourselves?
