is it possible to see the Dear esther map from overview? If we can, we can compare the dear esther island with Boreray!

You're not using all letters, and besides why the hell would they hide a message that gif pics are coming in an image? Doesn't make any sense.
I agree.
NEW BIT OF INFO.
Dan Pinchbeck is the leader behind The Chinese Room.
One of the users on the ARG site is called Dan.
Coincidence?
From the source code I found this:
view-source:http://nextfrictionalgame.com/hpl2.1/tease_image_final.jpg
hpl 2 is the engine used for amnesia but the next game is being built in hpl 3?!?!?
tease_image_FINAL => no more pictures.
This is fascinating, guys. Anyone else going to be playing Dear Esther because of this? I know I am, it looks pretty good.
I think we're missing something crutial from the image, it's now fully clear. it can't be just an image.

tease_image_FINAL doesn't necessarily mean it's the last picture we'll see, it might refer to the picture on the site being less blurred for each time they updated (china, boreray, seattle) and this one is the final one.
You definitely have a point.
Come on Frictional give us something!
Vechida... What does the scouter say about its teasing level?
ITS OVER 9000!
''Dear Esther immerses you in a stunningly realised world, a remote and desolate
island somewhere in the outer Hebrides''
''The
Hebrides comprise a widespread and diverse archipelago off the west coast of Scotland.''
Oh look ruins like the ones described on boreray:
