Well I don't mind more male characters I just hope they don't go overboard with it. Also Big Mac is entertaining to watch.
Without spoiling anything I have another question does Spike (I think that's how you spell it) ever follow up with his small crush on Rarity? in episode 1 he makes it clear he like her, but afterwards he seems to stop pursuing her.

It's more of an occasional running gag than anything, however in one episode later on it will become one of the main focuses of the episode.
