I roll my eyes at shipping. Why would you do that to a character? Completely ruins them in my opinion.(Oh, she/he doesn't have any complicated emotions, she just wants to bang the closest female to her/him)

Because some people get kicks out of that. It reminds me of myself so many years back when I would browse BZpower purely for Bionicle ship-fics.

It is pretty much. I remember the main reason I looked for the ship-fics back then is because most of the ones up there were hilarious as hell, and not at all serious.
