They polished AAMFP a year long. OK, it was thechineseroom, but I hope they don't cut the gameplay anymore. Polishing should make the game better and not the contrary.

Well, I'm pretty sure that when thechineseroom was polishing it, they had already removed those gameplay elements at that point. I don't think "polishing" is about removing key game features.

I haven't exactly been keeping up to date, so I apologise if this question has been answered or discussed, but in terms of CS development, does anybody know if HPL3 would be backwards compatible with HPL2 - that is, being able to import maps and/or assets from the old engine into the new?

Assuming that those awesome ice sounds are for SOMA, I suppose the game's going to take place in an arctic environment.. or at least a part of it? Or I guess it could be merely winter.. but arctic's a cooler idea in both definitions of the word. At least it gets your imagination really running: what all those sound effects could be used for in the game.
